Today’s Run – Easy Run

Total Mileage: 11.05 miles

Total Time: 1:43:10

Average Pace: 9:20 min/mile

I am really excited about the giveaway I have for you today, but first today’s run.

I was all ready to get up and run outside since I had an easy run BUT the weather had other plans for me.  I went outside to get started and it started to sprinkle. It made me nervous since I knew I had 10-11 miles planned so I opted to stay and run on the treadmill.

I did a total of 11.05 miles averaging a 9:20 min/mile pace.  I pretty much cruised most of the run at a 9:22 but then picked it up a little for the last 2 miles.  I really am trying to focus on doing a better job at making sure I take it easy on my easy run days or else I am going to get worn down fast.

This is my horrible “I did 11 miles” after picture. Just thought I would share. HA

After my run I took my dog on our morning walk and waited for my parents to come over.  I find that a slow easy walk around our apartment area with my dog helps me to cool down and shake out my legs after a run.

My parents came over and we spent most of the morning cleaning out my garage (fun I know right!?) It really needed it and we are having our carpets cleaned tomorrow so it needed to be cleaned out so my dog can stay down there during the day.

You know those stickers on people’s cars that say “I love my grand dog”? My mom needs one of those.  I can’t imagine how excited she is going to be when she has grandkid one day!

Okay now to the fun part of today’s post.

One of my favorite products are BIC Bands.  I have used them since I started running and they are hands down my favorite headband for running.

They stay in place, don’t slip, and they come in all sorts of awesome and gorgeous colors and designs!

I have quit the collection to pick from for each of my runs and I hope my collection continues to grow!

They keep the hair out of my face during my runs, because there is nothing more frustrating to me then when my hair gets in my way!

I have tried a lot of headbands for running and these by far exceed all else.

They come in four different sizes: minnie, skinny, thin, and thick. I have pretty much tried every size and they all work wonderfully!

The owner of BIC Bands, Sandy, is so nice! I ordered a couple of bands from her one time and one of them broke on my first run.  She sent me a new one, no questions asked, and was so nice throughout the whole process! Their customer service is top notch!

Sandy has been nice enough to offer two of my readers their very own BIC Band.
