Saturday night the husband and I finally took the plunge and traded in our iPhones. They have been great for the past 5 years, but it was time for something new.

That AND the fact that AT&T was just not working where we are living.

We finally decided on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

I really was hoping for the white version, but they were out in store. The people were awesome and ordered me one and once it comes in they will exchange the one they gave me for it.

How is that for customer service?

Sunday was a much needed rest day. Of course, my poor husband studied most of the day but we both took it easy.

Thankfully with the weather we have been having I was happy to stay indoors.

Due to the phone switch, I apologize but today’s post is coming to you sans any personal pictures.

I think I have finally worked out all the kinks and will be back to normal tomorrow, but it did take me a bit to figure it all out 🙂 That’s what switching to a whole new phone system after 5 years with the same one will do to you.

I thought I would bring you some motivation for your Monday morning.

There is no better way to start out a new week then with a little pick me up!

I have a folder on my computer where I keep a bunch of motivational quotes and such to pick me up when I need it.

I thought I would share some of my favorites.

Motivation 1

When I first set my goal to qualify for the Boston Marathon some people thought I was crazy. Heck, I even though I was crazy but I had to stop focusing on how far I had to go because it got me no where.  As this quote says, the time is going to pass regardless of the work I put into it and I have two choices:

1. Give it all i’ve got.

2. Give up before I even started.

I realized there is no guarantee that I will ever accomplish my goal, but you can best I will give it everything I have.

Motivation 2

Now I realize this got me in trouble, but regardless in the hardest of times I’ve been through running has always been there for me. It is amazing how much of a stress reliever running is for me.

There is something very personal to me about running. It’s just me and the world and nothing else. I can clear my head and refocus on the important parts of my life all while out on a run.

Motivation 3

This is one that I found after I was injured. When I first started this journey of recovery it seemed like a daunting task.  I said to my husband numerous times “I will never run again” even though I knew that was a crazy thing to say.

Then I started taking this process one day at a time. I didn’t think about a month from now, a week from now, or even a day from now I just focused on the day that I had in front of me. I still do this and no matter what it helps me be in the moment and not worry about all that’s ahead of me.

Motivation 4

I love this quote simply because it reminds me that regardless of the circumstances any of us are in, our happiness and our lives depend on how we carry ourselves.  You are the one who determines your mood, how you present yourself, and what your day will be like.  I had to catch myself many times and rework my attitude. There are so many blessings in our lives and often if one thing gets off track we forget all that we really have.

Motivation 5

This quote was actually a quote that helped me get through my first couple weeks after I became unemployed. Courage comes in all shapes and sizes. In the first couple weeks it took a lot of courage for me just to get up and put a smile on my face and keep pushing through each morning.

This is something that can be applied in any situation and it really helped me a lot.

Tell me, what are some of your favorite motivational quotes?
