I was pumped and ready for this morning’s workout PLUS it was going to be my first workout using the Polar FT4 Heart Rate Monitor.

I started the morning off with a pre workout drink.

Pre Workout Drink

I have never really taken a pre workout drink before, but I truly think it helped a lot and I felt like I had a lot more energy when I got to the gym and started my work out.

Today was shoulders and abs day. I was excited to push and see how far I could take it. I kept the weight up the first several exercises but of course as it progressed I had to lower it a bit because my arms were shaking.

2-23-13 Workout

These were my final stats for my workout. I was pretty happy with the end result.  I have to say I am in LOVE with the polar heart rate monitor! I love being able to track my workouts and see the amount of calories burned from each workout. The monitor itself is very comfortable and besides when I was running (I don’t think I had it quite tight enough) I didn’t even know it was there!

Heart Rate Monitor

The heart rate monitor fits right under my sports bra and I truly did not even know it was there. Next time I am going to tighten it a bit more because it started to move around a bit when I did some sprints during my HIIT workout.

I was really motivated by this picture. I know that there is no real definition yet, but I have to say I really love seeing progress! I think the #1 thing that has allowed me to start seeing progress is changing my eating habits.  It is definitely still a work in progress, but I am really sticking to eating clean and I am loving the progress that is coming from it!

Mirror Picture

I will leave you with the ever famous crappy bathroom mirror picture. This was actually taken in the locker room at my gym, and I had to keep waiting for people to move out of the way to get the picture.

Off to pick up the husband from his run, shower, and then head to watch the NC State vs. UNC basketball game later! GO WOLFPACK!

I also may have a fun change coming in the next few days, so keep a look out!
