Hello Hello!

I am officially back from vacation. Actually we are currently making the trip back from North Carolina to Pennsylvania today, and as you read this I am probably enjoying the lovely 9 hour trip. It has been an amazing vacation with my husband and I was also happy to be able to visit with family while we were home as well.

I have to say I will definitly miss this view on my morning runs/walks.

I will also miss the quiet and special time I got to spend with the love of my life. Medical school sure takes a lot of time away so time to get away just the two of us was very precious.

I can’t say I am excited to head back to the real world but there are a few positives about getting back to normal life again:

1. Getting back on track with my fitness and dieting
2. Devoting and focusing on my blog
3. Seeing my wonderful fur children again (I miss them so much while we are gone!)

My husband still has a few more weeks of his “vacation month” from medical school so we will also get to spend some more time together and already have a possible weekend get away in the works.

I have been doing a lot of thinking about getting back on track with my workout.  I am very committed to making serious changes with my body and I think starting my new plan a couple weeks before my vacation was not the smartest idea. Yes, I could have stuck to the plan while I was gone but I knew that I would not be able to eat and enjoy the foods on vacation if I did that.  It was definitely a step back but that’s OK and I am ready to fully commit myself.

I am going to be starting over on the Jamie Eason’s LifeFit program. I was about 2 weeks into it when my vacation begun and even though I could pick up where I left off I really want to do this right INCLUDING making sure I stick to a better diet. I think the best thing at this point is to start from day one. This will allow me to completely focus on the program and work to stick not only to the workout each day but work towards improving my diet as well.

I am really excited about what is ahead for me. I really want to change my body and work towards getting something I have never really thought would be in the cards for me. I am trying to keep a positive outlook and open mind during this process, and really look forward to documenting my changes and life here. There is much more to this than just the workouts and food – I want to show how it truly affects my every day life and my marriage.

If there are any readers out there thanks for sticking with me, and for those who are new – welcome! I am looking forward to documenting my life and journey towards being the fit and strong woman I aim to be..
