Most of you may not know but the gym is not my favorite place. Wait, what? Ok, I should probably rephrase that I like the gym because it has its purpose, but it’s not my first choice for running. There were many mornings in the heart of marathon training that I had to use the gym because weather threw a wrench in my training plans. The treadmill serves its purpose and sometimes you can’t avoid it.
The key to early morning trips to the gym is being prepared. Make sure your things are laid out the night before, having your gym bag packed, and being ready to go as soon as your alarm clock goes off in the morning.
One tip I have always used is to always have a gym bag packed. There have been several mornings when I have woken up and due to either bad planning or the weather changing I’ve had to quickly change plans and head to the gym bright and early.
Having a good gym bag, packed, and ready to go helps make this a lot smoother. So, what exactly do I like to keep in my gym bag?
Here’s a quick peek into my gym bag:
- Hair Dryer
- Cottonelle© Flushable Cleansing Cloths
- Dry Shampoo
These items stay in my gym bag all the time that way it’s ready to go and all I have to do is put on my workout clothes and throw some work attire in.
Most of these items are self-explanatory. Deodorant, hair dryer, makeup, and dry shampoo are all essentials to getting ready quickly after a workout. I try to keep it simple and dry shampoo has definitely made that easier for me.
My Cottonelle© Flushing Cleansing Cloths are amazing because they are light, flushable cleansing clothes that are designed specifically to help clean better (than the leading value brand). It’s nice to know I have these on hand when needed. Our gym is notorious for being out of toilet paper and since I’m usually in a rush these often come in handy.
As they say themselves, “Cottonelle© with CleanRipple© Texture is designed to clean better, so you’re clean and confident enough to go commando.” Let’s face it – many of us go commando when running so the perfect partner for female runners.
Want to become a morning runner or gym goer? I highly suggest having your gym bag packed with your necessities and ready to go!
