Hello and Happy Wednesday!

This is my last day of work for the week, which makes it even better! I’m enjoying the short week and even more excited to spend time with family for the holiday.

We originally had the plan to run a turkey trot tomorrow, but unfortunately it didn’t work out so we are opting to do our own workouts here before heading off to start the Thanksgiving fun!

As I do every year, I want to take the time to focus on what I am thankful for. While this is important every day of the year, it is still nice to really sit down and list it out because sometimes it can show you just how much you take for granted.

Family

We spent 4 very long, very cold years away from our family. Thankfully we did have visits ever now and then but being away from them during the holidays was always very hard. We’ve always been very close to our families so it was a big adjustment.

I am so thankful that we are now close enough to both families to spend the holidays together. On top of that, my husband was able to have both Thanksgiving and Christmas off this year which is such a blessing. He had to work on Christmas last year and that was tough on him.

My family is so very special to me and I would not be who I am or where I am today without them!

My Husband

Of course, my husband is my family, but I can’t pass up this day without giving him a little praise. We’ve been together for over 10 years and married for 4. There have been a lot of ups and downs over that period, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Week 121

It’s funny because my husband is a man of few words. He works hard day in and day out and I rarely hear him complain. He has such a strong drive and passion for running and he inspires me every day to work harder.

He’s made my life infinitely better and I cannot wait to see where this crazy journey continues to take us!

Running

You had to see this one coming, didn’t you!? Running is such a funny thing. There are some days when it frustrates me, irritates me, and where I’d really rather do just about anything else. However, running has given me so much more. It has given me relief from stress, confidence in myself, and shown me how to dream really big.

Weekly Update1

It doesn’t always come easy, but most of the time the best things don’t. It’s the things we work the hardest for that are often the most rewarding.

My Job

Several years ago you wouldn’t have probably found this on my list. However, after going a year without a job it was a big wakeup call on just how thankful I am to have a job that I can go to every day. It’s a job that I enjoy, I work with great people, and I am always learning. These are always things that I’ve wanted in a job.

Sure, some days I wish my paycheck was a little bigger but I make good money, I have a steady job, and that alone is such a blessing.

My Running Friends

All of my friends are a blessing, but running has brought so many wonderful people to my life! Whether its friends I’ve met during a race, friends I’ve met through social media or friends that I’ve met locally through running – they all hold such a special place in my heart.

Friends1

Running brings people together like nothing I’ve ever seen, and for that I am so thankful!

My Fur Loves

We love our animals. They are 100% part of our family, and with all the craziness of the last several years they have been such a wonderful joy to have!

Some people may think I am a little crazy, but they really mean a lot to us!

Getting it Done1

Who wouldn’t love seeing that sweet face every day?

My Health

After years of battling running injuries and other health issues, I am happy to currently have a clean bill of health. You really begin to appreciate your health when you’ve treated your body wrong for so long.

Being able to turn my health around and fix a lot of the issues that were causing me one frustrating injury after another feels so wonderful! I can now run healthy, free, and really enjoy it!

I look forward to seeing what the future brings, but today I am slowing down and really enjoying every moment and person I am thankful for!

What are you thankful for?
