Happy Sunday! We had such a blast yesterday at the Boston Marathon Expo.

We got there right at 9:00 am when they opened in hopes to beat some of the crowds.

It was a beautiful day in Boston. It seems like we are going to be very blessed with the weather this year.

Day in Boston

We got to the Hynes Convention center a little early so we sat down and waited for some friends.

Hynes Convention Center

We decided it seemed like the perfect time to take a selfie.

Selfie at Boston Marathon

Yea, it didn’t turn out the best but we only had one shot since our friends showed up right after it.

There were so many awesome signs throughout the expo.  I loved this one!

Bib Pick Up

We went up to the top level to pick up Wes’ bib. I have no idea why there was a camera there. They just showed up out of nowhere while he was getting his number.

Good Luck Runners

After you picked up the bib you were told to go and pick up your shirt and then enter the expo.

Shirt Pick Up

We had such an amazing time walking around and visiting all the awesome vendors.

We did see a couple great runners while we were there was well. The first was Josh Cox.

He was giving an interview about this year’s marathon.

Kara Goucher

Then we just  happened to walk by and saw Kara Goucher! She is so inspiring and an amazing woman all around. She was signing copies of her book Running for Women.

She just recently began a sponsorship with Oiselle and Nuun. Two really great companies!

We had such an awesome day. The crowds really started picking up after an hour and a half so we called it a day and headed back to the hotel for the day.

Since it is Sunday I thought I’d share my weekly recap:

Monday

6.5 miles total (tempo workout)

Tuesday

5.75 miles mostly easy with using a pre-set course on the treadmill.

Wednesday

5.5 miles total (speed workout)

Thursday

6 easy miles with Wes. We were both tired so thought running together would help us get out the door.

Friday

2.20 easy miles with Wes before we left for Boston

Saturday

Rest Day

Sunday (3/20)

My plan is to get up and run 8 miles in the morning.

Overall a good week. I had some issues with hydration on Friday morning so I’ve been really focusing on that since then.  I am looking forward to my 8 mile run in the morning! Hoping it goes well and I feel fresh.

What is your favorite part of race expos? Mine is for sure the samples! And seeing new products!

How did your running go this week?
