Tonight is New Years Eve. I have always wanted to go to one of those fancy New Years Eve parties and dress up. We have always kept it low key and either stayed at home or hung out with a few close friends.
Every year I go on dress websites and pick out cocktail dresses to wear if a party just happens to “come up.” So far it hasn’t but it is always fun to look.
A few weeks ago, Dress First contacted me to inform me about the dresses on their site and how you can prepare for a fun evening out. Unfortunately, it was too late for me to order a dress for tonight and since it is just a casual night for me this year I decided to dress from my closet.
I did take a look at their site however and found some great dresses if you are planning to dance the night away this year.
1. Sheath One Shoulder Short Cocktail Dress with Ruffle – I love simple dresses in a bold color. Deep blue is one of my favorite colors and even though this is simple could be dressed up with a necklace or sparkly shoes for a kick.
2. Sheath Scoop Neck Short Chiffon Sequined Cocktail Dress – I am not a sequin dress girl normally but New Years Eve is probably the best night of the year to wear sequins. The back of the dress is what really got me. I love that it’s a slightly low cut scoop back. Simple but elegant.
3. Sheath Scoop Neck Short Chiffon Cocktail Dress with Beading – This is another dress where the back makes the dress. If you see it from the front it looks like a simple little black dress, but turn around and it takes the dress to another level.
4. Sheath V-Neck Short Satin Cocktail Dress – I love this dress the best of all of them. It is slightly longer than the other options and the beautiful red color caught my eye immediately. If I could purchase one dress this would be it.
I am a simple but elegant dress kind of girl and I think these all fit that category.
If you are looking for a dress for a fancy night out, wedding, prom, or even a formal even check out Dress First. They have some great collections!
