Today’s post is going to be short and sweet because I am taking some time off to spend the day with my husband (when he’s not studying) and skyping with our families back in North Carolina!

I’ll be back to normal posting tomorrow.

Until then, I just wanted to come on and say Thank You!

Happy Thanksgiving

This has been one of the toughest years in a while. Between losing my job, getting a femoral stress fracture, and some other things that have come up that I am not sharing on the blog for personal reasons it has not been easy.

Yet, I am so thankful!

I am thankful for each and every one of you. Thank you for reading, for the advice, for the tough love, and for always being there. This blog has been such a great release for me over this past year and I am so so thankful.

From the bottom of my heart thank you for being there and seeing me through this year.  I am taking this day to relax and reflect on all that I am thankful for in my life.

I have an amazing husband, a loving family, all of you awesome people, a roof over my head, food on the table, a car to drive, and so many more blessings.

Thankful

Enjoy this day with your friends and family and remember all the simple things we can be thankful for!

I’ll leave you with this fun Q&A I found on Shut Up and Run.

1. How old do you have to be to move up from the kids’ table?

I didn’t move up until I was in my 20’s because we had no room, but I’d say at least a teenager.

2. Stuff the turkey or cook stuffing separately? (aka salmonella or not?)

No stuffing. Sometimes we have stuffing on the side, but I won’t be having it today.

3. Who sits at the head of the table?

My dad.

4. Pumpkin, pecan, apple pie?

That is hard I’d have to go with apple pie though pumpkin is a close second. My dad loves loves loves pecan pie so we always had one of those too!

5. What the hell is mince meat?

I have never heard of it.

6. Is it okay to play Christmas music on Thanksgiving?

Yes. Though I have never done this. The day after Thanksgiving though the Christmas music comes out!

7. In five words or less, worst Thanksgiving memory?

Being sick.

8. Speaking of leftovers. Who gets dibs on them?

My mom used to give them to anyone who wanted it. It was a first come first serve kind of deal, but somehow we always ended up with the most still.

9. Worst Thanksgiving food?

Is there such a thing? I can’t think of any I don’t like it.

10. Best Thanksgiving quick joke?

Q. Why do turkeys eat so little?
A. Because they are always stuffed!

Tell me, what are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

Answer any of the above questions!
