I am not going to say that this blog is going to turn into a running blog, but I have really been enjoying my running lately and I have decided I am just going to go with it.

This morning I woke up and wanted to challenge myself to another long run.  I don’t always get an entire weekend off with no work so I decided to take full advantage of the chance.

My husband was driving about 10 minutes away to start his run out in the country and I decided to tag along with him.

The scenery was beautiful, but unfortunately the first 2.5 miles were uphill and I felt so exhausted at the end of that part. I was really scared and unsure if my legs would be recovered from the day before, but they seemed to do okay. They were tired after the first 2.5 miles though.

There were some fun hills throughout the course – like this one.  I had to stop at the top to rest because I was pretty worn out after conquering that.  This was around mile 7.

Around this time I also accidentally ended my run on my MapMyRun app AGAIN

That was the breakdown of the entire run.  I had to break it into two parts since I am clumsy with my hands. I ended up doing a total of 12.67 miles and boy was I wiped out at the end of it.

I came back to the car and waited for Wes to finish before heading home. I was in dire need of a good shower and some food! I also needed to get out of the sun it pretty much wiped me out.

We showered, ate some lunch, and then walked around the mall for a bit. Isn’t the puppy precious? Don’t worry we were just looking. This is my husband’s dream dog, but I have my hands full with our 2 cats and 1 dog. I think I will stick with that for now, or at least until we have back yard!

Off to relax, clean, and do laundry. All of my normal Sunday afternoon chores. Have a great evening!
