Today I faced a new challenge – my first dinner out since committing myself to changing my diet. I was honestly pretty scared of how this was going to go. I knew that I could do it but it’s almost like breaking an addiction – some days are really hard and some days are much better.
We ended up going to Outback because we had received a gift card from my parents when we were home, and what is better than free dinner!?
I ended up ordering the grilled chicken and a side of broccoli. The chicken came with BBQ sauce on it but I asked that it be put on the side.
Even though it is one of the greatest days on the planet – National Margarita Day! I opted for water. I will have to celebrate at a later date sometime.
Friday nights have always been a night that my husband and I go out to dinner, binge eat on candy, and then go to bed. I knew that this was going to be the hardest part about making a change. I did well at dinner but was really craving something sweet.
We ended up going by the ONLY frozen yogurt place in Erie, Menchies. I normally get some sort of yogurt with loads of chocolate on it, but tonight I kept it healthier and much more simple.
Even though this picture makes it look like a lot I opted for about 4 oz of sugar free non-fat blueberry yogurt and then covered it in fruit. I ended up with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Even though I did give into my sweet tooth a little bit, I opted for a much healthier version.
We are now sitting on the couch watching Red Dawn and relaxing. I am really excited for my work out in the morning! I truly have never been this excited about the gym before and what changes lay ahead.
