First off has anyone read the book “Beautiful Creatures”? One of my friends told me about it and showed me that they were making a movie on it so I just started it a week or so ago.  I really like it so far!


Once again I tried really hard to talk myself out of going to the gym.  I was extremely tired and sore from the last 3 days of doing weights and all I wanted to go was go home, drink a glass of wine, and relax.  To make matters worse work was pretty busy and that just made me all the more tired.

My husband had schedule a massage and wanted us to go to dinner afterwards. He wouldn’t be done until 7:00 and I got off work around 5:30 so I knew there was no since in going all the way home and then coming back. Thankfully that made me get my butt to the gym.

I had already planned to simply stick to cardio today so I ended up doing 45 minutes on the treadmill at a 1% incline. I started at a 6.0 pace and then sped it up as I felt like it. I ended up at a 6.5 pace.


I was pretty happy that I forced myself to go after the fact. It was tough at first but I always feel better at the end.

After I finished at the gym I met Wes at a local Chinese buffet for dinner. I know it’s not the healthiest place but my husband and I have always preferred it because the owner always goes out of his way to make Wes his favorite chicken and it is probably one of the better “buffet sushi” places I have found.

I started the meal off eating shrimp with peppers and onions. It is simple but it is always quite delicious.


I took this picture after I was almost done, don’t worry there was plenty more! I also had a few pieces of sushi and finished it off with fruit and frozen yogurt for desert.
