Today was leg day and boy was I tired going into it! I think I need to find some kind of pre workout before my workouts start picking up in a few weeks once I get into phase 2.

I am really have to adjust to this “no cardio” thing that the LiveFit program says during phase 1. To be honest with you I have been throwing some cardio in here and there, but I don’t want to tire myself out before phase 2 so I am trying to maybe only do cardio 2-3 times a week at most. What can I say….I am a cardio junkie at heart, but I am trying to change 🙂

Polart Heart Rate Monitor

I purchased the Polar FT4 heart rate monitor and watch off Amazon and I am really excited to start using it at the gym! I will do a full review once I have tried it out a few times, but I am really excited to watch it play a part in my gym routine and towards my goal of getting fit!

I had my first test when it comes to eating cleaner tonight. I was late getting out from the gym and Wes had a massage for his back to get ready for Boston in a few months so we thought grabbing a quick bite to eat would be easier.  We went to the ever famous Chinese buffet and I panicked a bit because I had no idea what to eat.

I ended up opting for 2 plates of fruit and the wonderful man that runs the place made me some grilled chicken to eat. I have to say I am really proud of myself for staying relatively clean at a place that I am used to eating anything I want. I made sure to have a protein shake when I left the gym so that I wouldn’t be starving when I got there. This really helped me avoid wanting to eat everything and anything.
