Over the past month I have had the pleasure of trying out several items from Good State Health Solutions.

Before I get into the exact products that I have the honor of trying out, let’s look a bit more into the company itself. The quality of vitamins and supplements usually comes down to the quality of the company itself so that’s always one of the first places I start when I am looking at trying a new supplement product.

The mission statement of Good State is listed as:

…our mission is to find a solution to your health by giving the body what it needs. Our goal is simple, to help take your state of health from bad to good. We do this with proper supplement formulation, absorbable delivery methods and simple tests. With our vast information on hand we can help design a personalized supplement program based on your nutrient deficiencies.

All of Good State’s products are manufactured in an FDA inspected, GMPc facility. All Good State products are manufactured in the USA. We test for heavy metals, microbes, and other contaminants. They produce all their supplements with no GMO’s, no artificial colors, preservatives, and no animal by products.

Here is a quick video that goes more in depth about Good State as a company and what they stand for:

Ok, now on to what really matters. The products themselves.

Ionic Woman

Ionic Woman

The first product I wanted to try out was their Ionic Woman. You might be wondering, what does “ionic” mean? As you will see it in many of the products I’m using.

Ionized means to convert wholly or partly into ions. An ion is any atom that has a positive or a negative charge. A positively charged ion will hook up with a negatively-charged one. Then it turns into something new and available.

Getting minerals in an ionized form is how plants and animals were designed to absorb inorganic minerals. (Inorganic substances, like rocks and similar matter.) Plants are like sprouting little factories where they make their own food. They take in the inorganic minerals through their roots from the dirt (the dirt is partially made up of crushed rock). Then the plants change the minerals into organic, ionized form—the form of minerals that can be used by your body.

Here’s a quick ingredient list in the Ionic Woman:

Ionic Woman Ingredient List

These are the first vitamins I have taken that are in liquid form. I was hesitant about how it would taste. I would best describe the taste as a mild berry flavor. It can be taken on it’s own but I typically like to add it to either water or juice to help drink it a little more smoothly. You only need to take 10 ml (2 caps) one time per day.

Ionic Iron

I’ve dealt with iron deficiency off and on for several years. Pregnancy has definitly made it harder and make sure that I get in enough iron each day is essential for both performance as a runner and as a woman.

Ionic Iron

The liquid iron has 10,000 parts per million and higher bioavailability enters your bloodstream within minutes of ingesting for an active effect.

The taste of Ionic Iron isn’t quite as pleasant as that for the Ionic Woman, but also not terrible. I do recommend adding this to water or juice to take. I like to add it to orange juice so that I am taking it along with vitamin C for even better absorption.

Ionic Potassium

What’s the benefits of potassium?

  1. Potassium balances your body’s pH. It can help neutralize acids and restore alkaline salts to the blood stream.
  2. It can work with the sodium in all cells, including nerve synapses, to maintain and restore membranes and to assist in metabolic processes.
  3. It helps support your cardiovascular and nerve function.
  4. It increase your muscle energy.
  5. It can also be vital for the elimination of wastes.
It can promote the healing of cuts, bruises and other injuries.
  6. It is one of the most popular minerals because it can generally contribute to a sense of wellbeing.

The Ionic Potassium has a bitter flavor but when mixed with water or juice it isn’t noticeable. It is recommended to add 10 drops to 12 oz. of your favorite beverage. It could be easily added to your pre-run water to help balance the fluid and electrolyte levels in your body.

Ion-Mag

Ion-Mag

Absorbed 100% at the Cellular Level for Quicker Noticeable Results. There are 37.2 trillion cells in your body. (Reference: National Geographic & Biology.) And your body can only be as healthy as every single one of those cells. So, you need a supplement that can be absorbed 100% at the cellular level. ION-MAG is the first Nano-Ionic magnesium capsule, and it has been designed specifically for those of you who need continued health support, ASAP.

The magnesium and chloride minerals in ION-MAG are 100% absorbed higher up in your GI tract so it doesn’t reach your large intestine…

Ion-Mag Pills

I will be up front in saying that I have not yet taken the Ion-Mag during pregnancy. However; my husband has been using them! As a pill there isn’t a flavor to it but due to the higher absorption the benefits get into your body quicker.

Runners and people who exercise regularly are at a greater risk of magnesium deficiency because of its role in energy production and metabolism. It is also lost through sweat during exercise, and in urine.
